Parent and Camper Information
We know that sending your child to camp is a big decision. Here is everything you need to know about our commitment to safety, logistics, and faith-centered growth.
Safety & Supervision
Our counselors are awesome young adults that love Jesus and love young people. We maintain a high staff-to-camper ratio for constant care. We also have senior staff available at all times.
Faith-Based Values
We focus on building a strong biblical foundation through worship, group discussions, and personal mentorship.
Health & Dietary Needs
While we are unable to accommodate all food allergies and dietary restrictions, we do offer alternative options for some of the most common needs. Our meals may include gluten and dairy, but a salad bar and other alternatives are typically available. If you have specific dietary concerns, please contact us before the retreat so we can let you know what options may be available.

Questions and Answers
Ready for the best week of your year? Here’s the straight talk on camp life, roommates, and spiritual vibes.
Q: What is High Point?
High Point is a week-long Christian summer camp for students ages 14–19 hosted by Christian Ministries Church. Camp is designed to help students grow in their relationship with Jesus, build lifelong friendships, and develop a strong biblical foundation through worship, teaching, small groups, recreation, and fun activities.
Q: Who can attend High Point?
High Point is open to students ages 14–19 who are ready to participate in the full camp experience. Whether you've attended church your whole life or you're simply curious about Christianity, you're welcome at High Point.
Q: Do I have to attend Christian Ministries Church?
No. Students from all churches—and even those who do not currently attend church—are welcome. Our desire is to create an environment where every student can encounter Jesus and grow in their faith.
Q: What denomination is High Point?
High Point is hosted by Christian Ministries Church, a non-denominational, Bible-believing church committed to teaching God's Word with both truth and grace.
Q: What makes High Point different from other summer camps?
High Point is more than games and activities. Every part of camp is intentionally designed to help students know Jesus, understand God's Word, develop a biblical worldview, and build meaningful friendships that continue long after camp ends.
Q: What will students learn at High Point?
Students will hear practical, biblical teaching on topics that matter in everyday life, including identity, relationships, biblical worldview, leadership, apologetics, worship, evangelism, and following Jesus with confidence.
Q: Is worship a part of every day?
Yes. Each day includes worship, biblical teaching, small group discussions, prayer, and opportunities for students to respond to what God is doing in their lives.
Q: Will students be pressured emotionally?
No. We create opportunities for students to respond to God's Word, but we never manipulate emotions. Our desire is for every student to have a genuine encounter with Jesus Christ.
Q: My teenager isn't a Christian. Can they still attend?
Absolutely. High Point is a welcoming place where students can ask honest questions, experience authentic Christian community, and learn about Jesus in a respectful environment.
Q: Is camp all Bible classes?
Not at all. High Point combines dynamic teaching with games, recreation, team competitions, free time, camp activities, and plenty of opportunities to build friendships.
Q: Will students be in small groups?
Yes. Every student is placed in a small group led by trusted adult leaders who encourage discussion, prayer, accountability, and meaningful relationships throughout the week.
Q: Who are the counselors?
Our counselors are carefully selected adults and young leaders who love Jesus, have a heart for students, and are committed to providing a safe, encouraging, Christ-centered environment.
Q: How do you keep students safe?
Student safety is one of our highest priorities. Adult leaders supervise students throughout camp, maintain clear safety procedures, and provide appropriate accountability during all activities.
Q: What happens if my child gets sick or injured?
Adult leaders respond immediately, administer appropriate first aid when needed, and contact parents if medical attention is required. Emergency contact information is always readily available.
Q: How much does camp cost?
Camp pricing is $350 for the week and includes lodging, meals, activities, worship sessions, and teaching. Visit our registration page for current pricing and registration deadlines.
Q: What does the registration fee include?
Registration covers accommodations, meals, all scheduled activities, teaching sessions, worship experiences, and camp materials.
Q: What should students bring?
Registered campers receive a detailed packing list before camp. In general, students should bring modest clothing, toiletries, bedding, towels, a Bible, notebook, medications, and personal items.
Q: Can friends attend together?
Absolutely! We encourage students to invite their friends. Camp is a great opportunity to build new friendships while growing closer to Jesus.
Q: Can students request roommates?
Yes. We do our best to honor roommate requests whenever possible, provided both students request each other during registration.
Q: What if my student has food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Please include all dietary needs during registration. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable dietary restrictions whenever possible.
Q: Can students bring their cell phones?
Yes. Students may bring their phones; however, we encourage limited use so they can fully engage in worship, teaching, friendships, and the overall camp experience.
Q: What if my student needs to leave early?
If a student must leave before camp concludes, parents should notify camp leadership in advance so appropriate arrangements can be made.
Q: How can parents contact their student during camp?
If an emergency arises, parents may contact camp leadership at any time. Students are also given opportunities to communicate with family during the week.
Q: Can parents visit during camp?
Because we want students fully engaged in the camp experience, parent visits during the week are generally discouraged unless previously arranged with camp leadership.
Q: What do you hope every student leaves with?
More than great memories, we pray every student leaves with a deeper love for Jesus, a stronger understanding of God's Word, lasting Christian friendships, and the confidence to live out their faith long after camp ends.
Q: Why does High Point place such a strong emphasis on biblical worldview?
Today's students are constantly being influenced by culture, social media, entertainment, and competing ideas about truth. At High Point, we want students to know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to live out their faith with confidence and compassion. Every teaching session is designed to help students view life through the truth of God's Word.
Q: Are electronics, headphones, or gaming devices encouraged?
Campers are welcome to bring their cell phones, but we encourage limited use throughout the week so they can fully engage in worship, teaching, activities, and relationships. Headphones and gaming devices are discouraged, as our goal is to help students disconnect from distractions and be fully present in the camp experience.
Q: Can youth groups attend together?
Absolutely! High Point is a great opportunity for youth groups to grow together spiritually while building stronger relationships. Churches are encouraged to attend as a group, and we welcome youth pastors and leaders to experience camp alongside their students. If you're bringing a group, please contact us in advance so we can help coordinate registration, housing, and any other details to make your group's experience as smooth as possible.
What is the focus of the teachings?
We focus on a holistic approach to Christianity, helping students practically implement biblical principles and comprehend culturally relevant topics through a biblical lens.
